The Committee
It is with sadness that I have to report the passing of Life Member, Cliff Page, on 7th August 2025 in Addenbrooks Hospital.
As some of you may know Cliff and his wife Carole were involved in a very serious motor accident on 2nd January 2025 at the Houghton Conquest turning off the B530, which required Cliff to be cut out of their vehicle and airlifted to Addenbrooks Hospital.
Cliff required extensive surgery before being moved to Bedford Hospital.
He returned home in April, but only for three weeks before complications set in and he was readmitted to Addenbrooks for further surgery.
Unfortunately he never recovered and died in his sleep on 7thAugust 2025.
Cliff was associated with the club for nearly 30 years. First as a parent, then as a coach to the Minis and later as a Manager.
He took over as Honorary Secretary on the Management Committee in 2002 which he undertook for many years.
Cliff has always been a dedicated supporter of the club attending many of the away fixtures as the 1st team progressed up the leagues and recently meeting and greeting visiting players and spectators.
In 2013 Cliff was approached to organise the new club blazers which he carried out with gusto.
As soon as details of the funeral are announced they will be published on the website.
Our thoughts and wishes go out to Carol and the family.
Ian Titman
President Ampthill & District Community Rugby Club.
