Our Under 9 Team
At age 9, rugby training becomes more skill-focused, with sessions designed to improve passing techniques, tackling basics (in a safe, controlled way), and game awareness. Physical fitness is gently introduced, helping players build strength and stamina suitable for their age. Training usually takes place once a week on a weekday evening, blending fun with focused skill development.
Players start taking part in more regular competitive fixtures on Sundays, playing against other local clubs in age-appropriate contact or tag rugby matches. These games provide valuable experience, teaching players about teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect for referees and opponents. The club continues to prioritize a supportive and positive environment.
